A major milestone for us! NextGIS Web has been actively developed for 12 years and has always been open source. But deploying it from source traditionally required hands-on server expertise, which kept it out of reach for many teams.

Community Edition changes that: it is an official Docker-based distribution that packages everything needed to run NextGIS Web into a single public image. No build process, dependency management, configuration guesswork...

And it arrives at a moment when NextGIS Web is more capable than ever:
- A mature Web GIS server with rich built-in web maps
- A collaboration hub for QGIS-based teams, with strong desktop integration and full support for QGIS styles.
- Built-in data version control and conflict resolution tools for collaborative editing
