Attribute based clustring QGIS plugin update: version 3.0
Happy to share that I've finally published a new version of the Attribute based clustring plugin for QGIS.
The first release was more than 8 years ago, in 2016, when a friend of mine, Anna, asked for a tool to perform clustering for her PhD thesis. Since that moment, I've changed 4 jobs and a country, but I'm still in love with QGIS (which has also changed a lot).
New version delivers:
- Implemented processing tools for all clustering methods
- New output parametrization
- Heavy refactoring and internal optimizations. Native hierarchical clustering is now 100x faster
- Updated documentation
For me, the main update is that I've finally fixed a mess with the original code, which was poorly organized and hard to support. Now it will be much more pleasant to improve the plugin and implement new features.
I've written new material about this plugin: Attribute based clustering (QGIS Plugin) and plan to support it as documentation page.
If you find a bug, have questions, or suggestions, please contact me. I would be glad to improve the plugin.
